I Know

I look into your eyes,
And I see into your soul,
Past your broken heart,
Things too dark to behold.
So paint on that smile,
And laugh their fears away,
But just know that I'm no fool,
I hear what you want to say.
I feel your endless pain,
As your heart beats with mine,
And together we are one,
One of a kind.
I can taste that bitter-sweet,
Of good things gone wrong,
And a melody of eternal truth,
Known as all life's song.
So lie to me,
Tell me you're fine,
Swear you can make it,
As long as you're mine.

oh my god this is beautiful- like an outside persepctive of the broken soul but one that is infused with affection gah i love. The use of rythm and ryhme works very well too, creating an effect without sounding forced. Nice work :)
