it's all gone
the happiness left
along with the confidence in my step

it's hard to smile
to just have a good time
to escape the threatening thoughts in my mind

i wish it were over
i'd wish that any day
but i don't wanna wish my life away

so i'll just sit tight
and keep my mouth shut
so no one can see that i'm going nuts
