Monster in my own head
I am in a dark room
Under a bed
Shaking in fear
Waiting for it to find me
Like it always does
I hear the door
Crack open
And the footsteps
Coming closer
And closer
Until it grabs me
And fades
Into me
Taking over
Making me fear myself

Hi, my name is Kayla. I wrote this poem about an eating disorder and how for a short amount of time it will go away but it always comes back. The poem is describing the fear someone can get when they feel it coming back.
