The sleet coming down like shards of glass
The biting wind chills to the bone
Winters grip has taken hold
With a turn of the calendar
Seasons have changed
Snow dances past the window
Whirling and twirling
The earth will sleep underneath a blanket of white
Dark arrives early these winter nights
We burn the candles to give us light
The glow warms and provides comfort
