You used me and I used you
That was all that was between me and you

You were just another name to call for on lonely nights
Among many, I began to favor you

I began to feel a truth that I never meant to feel
I tried to deny that I had taken a liking to you

I threw in the towel and went out on a whim
I decided to take a chance on you

And that is how it all began
All that exists between me and you

Since then it has been Heaven and Hell
I went through it all for you

And you have been pained by my own hand
Yes, it is true I hurt you

But forgiveness was granted and I am thankful
I was given a second chance by you

Now all is in peace as we hold each other close
You whisper for only me to hear, “I love you,”
