he sighs and
i can feel the scrape of it
against my bones.
CO2,
razor sharp and
so cold
i pull my sleeves down
over arms that are already
littered with
red half-moons from
where my fingernails
have dug
into my skin,
seeking out whatever it is
that he seems to find
so wrong with me.
