Macramé
Like a spider weaving her silky web
I weave the string,
In and out, in and out, in and out…
The threads are like extensions
Of my fingers as I weave,
In and out, in and out, in and out…
The band grows longer in my wake,
Soon to be complete.
Macramé, my sweet escape from
Cruel, cold life as I know it.
I sit and weave as others watch.
Just keep going.
In and out, in and out, in and out…
The birth of my creation is near,
Soon to accompany me.
Until then
I’ll weave,
In and out, in and out, in and out…
