After It's Over
Long after my words echo through these abandoned halls,
And long after my writings have fallen victim to the rain,
My memory will forever be encrypted inside you.
No measure of time will ever change that.
After I have left,
I wish that my chair not be left empty,
I wish that my shirt would not be folded neatly on the bed.
I wish that you will remember, without forgetting the beginning.
Remember the morning’s sun, not the evening’s night,
Remember the beginning of my story, and the role you played in it,
Do not look back on the setting of my twilight.
Do not think that after the last hint of sunlight you will be left in the dark.
For night does not last forever, the sun will return to you when you accept it,
Only you can make the sun rise and set,
Know that after it’s over,
My sun will rise again for you.
