I live in a very cramped room with many of my kind
It is kinda dark and I can barely see
Every other day someone pours a liquid that’s so hot
Steam swiftly makes its way to the top of my colored ceramic rim
It is very irritating
My life is very scary
I could die at any moment
I could break when soap is being rubbed against my curved handle
Too vigorously
I have to take it easy for a while, now
I see many places from time to time
The other day I saw a box where soft sheets laid on top
Another day I saw a square that played moving pictures about
People talking about this thing called money
Every day I hear people talk
Sometimes they talk about a place where they go everyday
And learn from other people and hang out with their friends
Where they go to make that green stuff that my owner used to
Purchase me from that cold metal rack where
I stood for so many years
I guess I have a pretty decent life, at least
For the most part
But there is still so much more
