You reminded me of what I was.
You reminded me of what I had.
I never thought once,
I would find a friend like you,
Among strangest.
A friend with a big heart,
A friend who cares a lot.
I thought every person was phony,
Like those who smile at you,
When they really hate you.
But you are different,
You reminded me of my past.
You reminded me of the loves I had.
You reminded me of the one friend I had.
The friend who is replaced by you,
But I never thought it through.
You reminded me of my past
The past that is renewed with you.
